Hi my dear friends! Been reading some recent posts here about help with shower chairs, so here's my cheap alternative: I use a small outdoor plastic patio chair, fits in my small corner shower stall, since I don't have a bathtub in my apartment. Works for me! Lol! Here's a pic of my shower! ππ

My Shower Chair Hack π
Thank you for your help but I am hoping my husband has fixed the problem and I donβt think my out door chair would fit because my tube is slightly rounded or should I say curved but thatβs for thinking about me

I don't know your situation or what your husband is doing to fix the issue, but I have a long soaker claw foot tub with the sides slightly rounded. My solution to a shower chair not fitting in tub was to buy a camping type stool. I can lift it myself, it fits well and is easy to use. This may be an affordable easy option for you.
No hubby, I live by myself. I have to figure things out and do the best I can!
I'm sorry Bamfan1442,
I was commenting to ssdw1958.
Good idea. I wonder if they come in purple. My hubby will think I have lost it, but itβs worth looking. Thanks, blessings Jimeka π¦ π«
It is amazing how many bath chairs are at the thrift stores hereπ². Bought one for my wifeβs π and it was bran new for $6.00! I got mine thru MSAA for free, thatβs even better. I hate having to step over the side to get in, but I donβt have a couple thousand for walk in shower πΏ. Maybe next year? Great idea for your bath chairπ. ππΎπ Ken
Great alternative to a more expensive item!
Is it as stable? I had an experience when me-on-the-shower-seat (bench) both toppled over. Seems like it would be more stable.
Bamfan1442, it's Fancy1959. Way to think outside the box! Just be careful Fancy.
I know I didnβt get back to you to let you know what we found out was that one of the rubber caps that goes on the bottom of the legs is missing. We have know idea where it went to. So my husband extended that leg to even it out with the other legs. So that has been fixed.
Yeah !!
Great idea, but be careful when the floor is wet. After all, the chair is made of plastic, and it slides very well on a similar floor covering as you have in the photo. I know that it is dangerous because my mother always had such a bathroom floor in the house, and she very often fell because even her feet slipped. I was always apprehensive about her, mainly because there was a rain shower, and it was impossible to stand in the bathroom with my eyes open and make sure not to fall. After that, I bought and installed a shower for her from gethai.com/ to hold it in her hands when washing and not fall anymore. So guys, take care of yourself and be careful
Smart!!
