I think it's really up to you. I'd do my own research and compare the two as to effectiveness and side effects. If you are stable on something, I would question changing. It doesn't mean that I wouldn't necessarily switch, but I'd want a good reason to do so.
I wish you well with your decision. Let us know what you decide.
thank you for responding. I have been doing lots of research. Dr. suggested change as I told her I really only get 2-3 weeks of feeling good from Tysabri. The 4th week I really go downhill with major fatigue, right leg and are don't work as well. After talking to several people I think I've decided to hold off until after my knee replacement surgery in early 2019. will keep you posted.
I've only been given Ocrevus and it has worked well for me. If my Neurologist suggested something different I would be hesitant as well. I'm going to follow your post so update with what you decide. Fingers crossed for you!
You can always go back to Tysabri. GL!
calm down Vicki. changing is really no biggie. There is no reason to be afraid, if you are stable now changing should be easy. There will be some side effects and your body might not like Ocrevus, so have a plan for if you need to change back before you start. Plan for what you can and expect the unexpected, and relax it will be okay.
