I saw this online, and though it was meant as a joke, I thought it was great!

So from now on, we can list out painscale in a proper artistic manner. Today, thank God, I have only been a Durer at times. I like it. Blessings Jimeka 🦋 🍫

I'm using this for my pain scale from now on. It's much more meaningful than the lame 1-10 scale. Because of back pain I've often told doctors that my pain rated a 20 but their scale didn't go high enough. Some days 10. Dali...not even human anymore. That's perfect! 😁😂🤣😣😢😭😁😂🤣😣😢😭

Overall very funny!

Funny. I hate pain scales. It's all so relative.

greaterexp Someone ought to make that into a laminated card so those who suffer from pain can take it with them to show healthcare providers. Wonderful idea! Thank you for sharing. Since we lack a spoken vocabulary to describe pain, this helps define pain's contours. I've always found the numeric scale and little face icons useless: too simplistic.

I really like that idea! I've heard such different takes on the pain scale, too. Different doctors/clinics describe the levels of pain differently. I think it's a valid question to ask them what their idea of any given number means to them! One doctor asked my husband about his kidney stone pain, saying that a ten was like childbirth! For some reason, my husband couldn't relate well to that!

My wife had a surgery years ago and when she came out of it the anesthesiologist (sp?) asked her how the pain was on a scale of 1-10 with 8 being "Extreme" 9 being so bad "If I gave you a gun, you'd shoot yourself" and 10 being so bad "If I gave you a gun, you'd shoot Me!" Funny way to put it I thought.
