I have an eye dr appt on Wed (5th) and an appt for a physical with my primary doc on the 10th.
Was it a good appointment for your eyes today? Blessings Jimeka 🦋 🍫
It was a good appt, I really liked the staff. I'm borderline bifocals so will wait until next year's appt and see how that goes or how my eyes are doing. I do have a refund coming as my insurance paid more than they thought it would cover. Just wish they would process the insurance while I'm there so we don't have to play this 'game'. Glasses should be in 7-10 after my appt. Will update when I pick them up

What a great idea! I have an eye appointment on September 4th. They check the pressure of my eyes etc.
I really like the Dr. but during summer there are so many detours and construction
going on. Sadly enough I've missed this appt. a few times. I called to get alternate directions and wrote them down
for future use. I got there once with those directions and I pray I will get there again.
I also have a physical on 9/25th in the same area. Wish me luck!
Leslie
How did your eye appointment go yesterday?🦋 🍫
I am so happy you asked. Because of all the detours and construction in the area I had to make a very important decision-
I missed it 3 times in the past and I had to make sure I got there. My eyes are too important to me to take care of.
I called a cab to get there. Good News-I did research on the drops I take and found a generic brand that is cheaper
than what I'm paying. I had everything written down so I knew what to ask for. The appt. took a very long time. But worth
GOOD NEWS-My eyes are fine. My hubby found out I took a cab and was very upset. When I got home I wrote her and the
staff a thank you note. Thanks for reading all of this!
Feeding tube replacement 17th. Then end of month throat specialist checkup on cancer recovery 👍. 🙏🐾Ken
🍀
How often do you have to have it replaced? Blessings Jimeka 🦋 🍫
Every three months. It is pretty easy so that’s good 👍. Needs changed to keep it sterile and so the internal ballon doesn’t harden up. 🙏🐾. Ken
Feeding tube replacement went great and next throat cancer specialist 🙏🐾Ken
I have an appointment just a follow up but I’m wondering what to talk about - oh yeah I know it’s about meds hahahahaha
I’ve got a neuro appt but I can’t remember what day.😅😂🤣. I’ve got to call Monday and check on date.
Donnie
Is this a new one yet?🤔 I can't remember 🤣 Doubled51 🤗💕
J🌠
Naw. He’s my sleep specialist also and he just got me a new bi pap machine so I’ve got to see him til my insurance oks everything with it. Just found my appt card and appt is September 17. I’ve felt a little better the last couple of weeks so maybe won’t need anymore steroids for awhile. Bi pap said I would have to see him in 2 months for insurance purposes.
Donnie
You n e e d a n e w neuro!!! Telling your wife to smack ya!!! 😡🤣
Doubled51
Believe me she agrees. But she won’t listen to me that she needs a cardiologist since we moved. She’s having chest pains and other things and won’t listen to me. So hardheaded runs in this house.😅😂🤣😂.
But I’m ready when I get this other stuff squared away.
Donnie
Do I need to hold your hand again? Doubled51 ? Cause I will! 🤔 Getting out sledgehammer! 🤣🤗💕
J🌠
I’m a little slow at times.😇😇. Sledgehammer might knock some sense into me. I’ve got to call the only ms specialist around here. She’s in Greenville SC which is about 70miles which is about what I drive now. Just have to see if she’s taking new patients. When you live in the sticks specialist are hard to find.
🤣😂 you don't know what the sticks are until you live here! 😟😭 But it's worth the drive to get the help you need Doubled51 Do you have a hospital with an MS Clinic anywhere? Maybe look into that?

I have 3 appointments and blood tests as well as my 6 month Rituxan infusion on the 22nd.
Do you have the Rituxan every 6 months? You have PPMS, do you think it is keeping your ms stable? How do you feel after the infusion? Sorry lots of questions, but interested. Thanks, blessings Jimeka 🦋 🍫
Ask away, I don't mind answering any questions you want to ask. Yes, I do R infusions every 6 months. It was just this year May/June?? when I had my latest MRI and my neuro declared me stable. So yes it has stopped the progression of the ms. As far as my designation, I was first dx with rrms by my previous 2 neuros. I was told at the time of my dx, that if they dx me with anything other than rrms, I would not get any help. I had suggested that I had a more progressive form of ms. Since my dx, my provider has taken a better attention about ms and other autoimmune. My current neuro is a "true" ms specialist and also addresses other autoimmune diseases. I had no opposition from my provider when this neuro prescribed R for me. I am happy to be on R. But I have not talked to my neuro about my designation. For me it's all ms so I don't worry about which one, they are all nasty. I have an appointment with her in November and I plan to ask her about her thoughts. I believe me to be spms or ppms. I don't have relapses. I know R is marketed in the UK but under a different name, I believe I posted it somewhere sometime ago. I am not sure if it is approved for ppms in the uk. Something you might ask your neuro about. I would encourage you to pursue this with your neuro.
Thank you. I am not due to see my neurologist until late October so I will write it on my list of questions. Again thank you, blessings Jimeka 🦋 🍫
Hey greaterexp,
I have an MRI on the 5th. Other than that appt, my September is pretty quiet.
Keep smiling,
Carole
Did your MRI go ok? When do you get your results? Blessings Jimeka 🦋 🍫
Hey Jimena,
Thank you asking! Yes, my MRI went well. I won’t know of the results for a couple of days/week, and I will definitely let everyone know about them when I hear.
Keep smiling,
Carole
How come you don't know already? I would be bugging them!😂🤣

Hey Jes,
I am going to give them a week as I usually get my results by then. I am of the impression that no news is good news
Keep smiling,
Carole
I have one with neurology tomorrow and V has 3 this month, but her X-ray is tomorrow also.
How did Victoria’s X-ray go? And your neurologist appointment? 🦋 🍫
She’s at the lowest angle of normal, and he’s not going to see her until next year unless she is not walking by 18 months 🎉 We have her well-baby this afternoon and some shots, I’m pumped to see her numbers because I picked her up yesterday and she was HUGE! 😂😂😂 My neuro said she’s happy, to restart the amantadine to help with my legs, and see me back in 6 months. (I made an appointment for 5 months just in case they forget to order my next infusion 🙄). TY so much for asking!
😘🤗
That’s good news for both of you. Hope the shots go ok. I think mums hurt more than the babies. Ouch! I used to hug tight and close my eyes, not that it helped either of us. When I took my eldest for his pre school shot, he turned to me and said ‘ why did you let him do that to me ‘ it was hard to explain to a 4 year old. Thinking of you both, blessings Jimeka 🦋 🍫 🤗
Thank you! We were pros at shots when she was an infant (I had a video she liked ready to go and I flipped her over in the football hold, she usually cried for 5 seconds)...we shall see how this shiny new toddler takes it. Daddy will be with us and I think he’s going to 😭the most.
Omg, that’s awful! Kids have a way with words don’t they! Poor lil guy was probably really upset with you.
🤗
Looks like Sept. is Appointment month. I have appt on Sept 11 to check out both of my hips. Especially my left hip which has become quite painful. It's from my aggressive OA. always thought it would be my right hip to bother me because I had 2 hip fractures there from a bicycling accident in 2007. Has anyone ever had a corticosteroid shot into an hip. would love to hear about the experience.
Jody just had one in each knee two weeks apart and started to feel a difference in about ten days. Said the shot was easy as they used ultra sound to do it 👍. I have had them couple times in my big toe and they started to work the next day 👍. Jody just started a new med for RA and seems to be helping, still early. The name is Belbuca and is fairly new. It is a film you put in your mouth next to cheek and then absorbs in 30 minutes. Good luck and hope it helps 🙏👍🐾 Ken
Hey Calfeehick,
No corticosteroid shot in the hip but I had one in my knee. It felt pretty good for about 2 weeks. Other than that, that was it, good bad or indifferent.
September is indeed appointment month. For me, I try to get all appointments scheduled before the Winter. Not always possible, but that is the goal!
Much success for your upcoming shot, and
Keep smiling,
Carole
Sep 19 I have an appointment with the hemotologist to check my iron levels. 20 Sep I have an appointment with a chiropractor, physical therapy, and follow up appointment with doctor to discuss MRI results about my back pain.
Hi my friends! Just had a infectous disease specialist that I found for repeated UTI’S and to consult about Ocrevus. You cannot have any infections but we have no guarantee about bacteria, uti’s and side affects of medication. I am nervous to start Ocrevus since I am 65.
I also found a uro*obgyn. He recommended inter-stem * I will try Tuesday. Nervous about this but need help with bowel/bladder. I also want only one treatment at a time. I don’t like medications. I take Amprya , vitamin D, metheramine* antiseptic. I am always learning and questioning. Thanks for all your support. Also any MS site for electric wheelchair support?
Love ❤️
