Have you read The Spark? If not, I think you would enjoy it, it’s about the brain/body exercise connection.

erash,

Let me know how you do. If you 've never done it before take small steps at time which lead to wonderful results.

I am an exercise nut. Ran 17 marathons before MS 😟

I understand why you're upset. You

should be thankful for what you accomplished in the past and

do what you can do now.

Yes exercise is incredibly important. I say this because after my total hip joint replacement 11 months ago I am now able to walk my dog again. Both my dog and I have heat intolerance so we’re the perfect match. And purposely so. I have a stationary bike/rower for indoor exercise during non-optimal weather conditions and for convenience. When I was diagnosed with MS I went out and got myself a bike and promised myself that I would ride the hell out of it until I could no longer. I think that just getting outdoors and on an ADA path helps both physical and mental health wise. Forest bathing is rejuvenating. facebook.com/EcoWatch/video...

PunkChic,

I'm so happy for you that you're doing well after your total hip joint replacement.

Enjoy walking with your dog!
