Ocrevus update video and short harmonica clip
I would like to hear more. Well done. I know the tune but I cannot remember the name. So pleased that you are doing so much better. Praise the Lord, an answer to prayer. Blessings Jimeka π πΆ
Wow! Great video, Allen! Youβve got a terrific talent. Iβm so happy you shared it and that youβre doing better. Hurrah!
Wow Allen5280 , both the harmonica piece you played and your gain in energy and all around better feelings are awesome! I will keep good thoughts that they all continue.
Thanks for sharing your talents with us!
What a talent, Allen5280 ! Rocking the harmonica!
- John, MSAA
Thank you johnMSAA , learning to play the harmonica has been something I have learned to do in spite of MS. It goes a long long way in my quest of overcoming MS, with all that it has taken. Finding a purpose for life, with all that has changed, has an immeasurable amount of inspiration when fighting this horrid affliction. Being able to learn something new despite the cognitive challenges. With all that has been lost, one thing, just one simple thing challenged and achieved, it's a huge win! I tried learning the harmonica when life was in full function, I failed, I gave up because it was just to hard for me. Y'all have no idea what it means to me to have some affirmation of my new talent. Thank y'all so much!
Awesome!
kdali Thank you!
I love, love, love it! Thank you so much for sharing. I saw this last night but my temperamental tablet kept shutting down. I gave it (and myself) a night of sleep and just tried again. You made me smile first thing in the morning. What a wonderful way to start the day. Thank you!! I'm happy to hear you are doing better with Ocrevus. I'm also so happy you faced your camera shyness and shared with us! It was so nice to see you and hear you. I really enjoyed your harmonica playing, too. I love how you played it two different ways as well. You are very talented. I love music myself...many different kinds. You mentioned liking contemporary Christian as well. Have you ever heard Josh Garrels? Not sure if he's considered contemporary Christian but he has definitely written/sung some beautiful Christian songs...Farther Along, At the Table, Pilot Me, Born Again, ...etc... I love his voice. Not sure any have the harmonica although we go to a church that has incorporated the harmonica into some of their worship music and that is fun. I will have to ask my son what songs. He's the musical one...I'm just a music listener! Anyway, sorry for rambling. My mind goes in a million directions. πBut, again, thank you. I thoroughly enjoyed it! Wishing you a beautiful and blessed day.
Thank you Tinker-Belle , feel free to ramble on! π I'm not sure if I have heard Josh Garrels but I'm m goong ro look it up! I have been coming up with my own harmonica parts to songs that don't have a harmonica in them. So I will defiantly check out new music looking for projects π
Allen5280 I loved your post, but it has reminded me how much I have forgotten. I should know that song title immediately, but I can't remember any more. I also loved your story about "Why is everyone going so slow?" Here's hoping for more improvements as the treatments continue.
Actually, I ended up forwarding that video link to family as well. My sister remembered. It's Minuet in G by Bach. I couldn't get Google to pick it out for two reasons one, I'm playing it in Bb and second I'm playing it imperfectly and at a different tempo! LoL so if I keep gping with it in my own way, I just might have to call it a Redneck Rhapsody of Minuet Gmajor in Bb π
Hey Allen5280,
I am responding to your update on Ocrevus, and your serenade with your harmonica. You have talent! You should pursue finding others in a musical group so that you can 'jam'. I hope that you know what I mean.
How you are doing on Ocrevus? I am scheduled for my second Ocrevus infusion later this month. I am hoping for more positive results and hope that you are still seeing positive results as well.
You have a God given talent playing the harmonica and connecting with your audience!
Keep playing, and keep smiling
Carole
Thank you carolek572 , I think about finding some others to play with quite often. I just can't figure out how I can commit to being able to be on any kind of schedule. I don't ever know when I'm going to feel up to it. I working on getting there but it's still a ways off. I did starts going to the music store locally to try and meet some new people to possibly jam with. All I got was people telling me about another harmonica player that is so good at it. Theyndidnt even have time to listen to me play, they were to 'busy". So I have thought about it often, still trying to work my bugs out and keep fighting what MS is trying to do to me. I'm doing pretty good with Ocrevus I have done Mutiple posts if you would like to check out my posts I try and keep updated going. It's the first MS medication (DMT) I have been able to tolerate. I'm just trying to take things day by day and moment by moment and hopefully the right doors will open for me. We will see. I still have a lot to learn on the harmonica but it's coming along. I haven't been able to do anything new recently. I just try and stay practiced up. I'm working on finding some new songs. Hope and pray ocrevus helps you too.
Allen
Thank you, Allen5280, for your timely update. I have read some of your Ocrevus updates. I just wanted to see if you had anything else to offer.
You have a gift. And you definitely are happy playing the harmonica. PLEASE - a request - and only if you want to, I request another 'mini' concert posting from you.
Keep smiling,
Carole
