Another button picture done!

With the stress from my son in the house, I immersed myself in my buttons this past weekend and got this one done! What a blessing this has become for me. Not just the OT anymore. It's my way to escape!

People have donated them to me. Sometimes people will post online they have a tin or jar to sell and I've purchased them. I have so many now that I don't buy them anymore but I sure take donations!

I have done several cats so far. I am more of a cat person but others like dogs. I love doing all critters though!

OMG! This is amazing!!! What a talent you have! I have a passion for buttons. I inherited my mother's and grandmother's button boxes and there are some real treasures in them.

I have posted them as I've gotten them done. Won 1st prize for one! I have a woman who promotes art for disabled people who wants me to work up enough so she can put on a show just for me! I'm floored! So far I only have 2 available. Generally they sell as soon as I get them done!

That is amazing!. I know people work with glass and tile to make mosaics but I have to say I've never seen a button mosaic. You really have an eye for color. It is beautiful. I know your show will be fabulous!

Thank you! I had to come up with something that would work as occupational therapy for my hands. That's how I started! I think it's the only thing I can "thank" MS for!

Makes me wonder whatever happened to my Grandma's button bin. As a child, I used to love to sit on the floor in front of her old Cogswell rocker, and sort them, first by color, then by size.... Endless entertainment!

I started with my mom's/grandma's/... Now I have zillions! My daughter comes in my art room while I'm working and puts her hand in the jars and just sifts them through her fingers. (She's 21.)
