Trigeminal Neuralgia and PAIN

It really is ALL about how YOU think about it and how YOU react to it. I remember for months on end going to bed and having the waves of pain crash upon my face. It did not matter what I did, ice packs, heat packs new pillows, new sleeping positions. No medicine helped no amount of medicine helped. I overdosed on opioids 3X, I dreaded going to bed, but I learned that it was going to happen I had to LEARN TO COPE. I started to visualize the pain as waves crashing on my face some small and fast some HUGE and violent. I imagined other peoples struggles over the years and realized they found a way through it. they are no different than me. I CAN cope, I CAN find away though this, I can learn to bend I will not break, this will not beat me, I WILL cope.

ms is annoying and any other descriptive word that u might like to use, but u can u should u will win because u can. Who cares if u have to love the finish line, lower your expectations. Victory is always yours just stay calm and find it.

Thanks for sharing. Yes, we CAN do this. I like your wave analogy. I often think of it like a board game. All I have to do is move to the next space. If I get knocked back a few, that's ok. All I have to do is move to the next space again. Wishing you a peaceful day.

I had cyber knife, in and out in an hour no scaring just a few meds to relax me so I did not move, no worse than an MRI

Gamma knife is an option for treating TN I am not exactly sure but I believe it is not a walk in walk out an hour later like cyber knife which is a laser style procedure.

I finally broke down and started daily medication.

Visualization is how I learned early on to deal with my migraines (on top of rescue medication of course).
