Jumpy legs!!!!

I have been struggling with jumpy, spasm like symptoms for a long time. I was given Mirapex which worked very well at first. I became used to it I suppose and had to increase the dosage. When I was at 4 times the original dose and still having issues, I had to stop all together to "reset" my body.

The last couple of weeks have been very difficult as far as being able to get to sleep.

Last night I went back on the Mirapex and had a pretty good amount of sleep. Woo Hoo!

Fatigue is already an issue with MS, and not being able to get good rest can make for a pretty grumpy day.

I'm looking forward to getting better sleep for a while.

What are any of you using for this problem?

Craig

I honestly don’t know the difference between the two. I know that under normal conditions, I can’t lift my right leg more than 1/2”. But when this thing happens, my leg will bounce up to my chest! It’s completely random as far as which leg is affected or the interval. Sometimes they go together and other times not. I have a sleep aid, but I think I want something like you have to just knock me out.

Thanks for the response

To sleep good I take melatonin . Drug store has different milligrams so start low. Hope this helps. When I get legs that feel like I can’t bring them back when I’m sleeping 😴 I have Baclofen. Hope this helps. Good luck 👍

Baclofen is what I use. They may start you at 10mg but you will probably need to ramp up as I did. I currently take 40/day. 20 in am and 20 in pm. Hope you find help ~terry
