t's not what you accomplish in life that matters, it's what you overcome. Don't be afraid to ask for help, if you need it. Be proud of what you have overcome. It can help you be more sensitive and caring about others.

Sue, how very true! It has taken me awhile because I have always loved to be Miss Independent. I finally have been accepting help when offered and occasionally even asking for assistance. My diabolical plan in this matter, which I learned from my nephew who's a paraplegic, is to ask for help from the best-looking man I see. Haha! Why not enjoy the view while you're getting help? LOL! Of course my nephew asked for help from the best-looking woman he saw around. So guys it can work both ways!
And I have discovered that often times as I'm approaching a door with my Walker a gentlemen will open the door for me. Of course I always thanked him and tell him God bless and I get a smile for it. But latey I thank them often saying something like, " Thank you for being such a gentleman and a handsome one to boot. God bless! " And oh boy that smile gets about 5 times wider and some of the younger ones actually blush bright red from head to toe. It makes my heart sing when I see such wonderful reactions. Fancy.๐๐๐ถ๐
I live by this saying. I might have Multiple Sclerosis, but I'll never, ever let Multiple Sclerosis have me. I'm better than that disease. Best of luck to you.
So true.
