Sleeping issues.
Just wanted you to know that you are not alone I think I slept 4 hours last night. I’ll sleep an hour or so then wake up then of course I have to go to the bathroom it’s very frustrating. Then of course I play on my phone. I know that is not a good thing. But right now my feet are hurting me so much that this body isn’t going back to sleep.
My Nero suggested Tylenol PM I’ve taken it a few times no luck.
Well I hope you can get another hour of sleep.
Happy New Year 🎆🎊🎈
Hello. Not getting enough sleep is the worst . I'm a zombie all day. With heat you know you can crawl to an air conditioner (hopefully). I was just looking at older posts you may want to look at. My body is in sleep mode right now. But LIQUID melatonin has worked well in the past for me. But I set up for sleep before I take it. Everything done. No liquids. Mellow music instead of tv. Etc etc etc. Good luck!
While poor "sleep hygiene" (i.e. playing on computers/phones, watching TV, drinking coffee too late at night etc, etc) is most often the cause of sleep problems, sometimes falling asleep but not staying asleep can be a symptom of depression. It's worth talking to your doctor about this. It's also worth keeping in mind that depression can be a side effect of the interferons (I've been there, done that, and don't want to do it again!).
While MS is a strange and unpredictable beast, we all need to be careful that we don't attribute everything that's not quite right to MS - because otherwise you can miss some other legitimate health issue and fail to get appropriate treatment because you just figure it's another strange problem caused by your MS.
I take Trazadone, which is a very mild anti-depressant. It helps keep me asleep. It's made to do that. It doesn't leave you dopy in the AM and is not addictive. It's great!
Hi Smartcloud1981
I just saw your post and wanted to put my two cents in. Have you considered sleep apnea might be what is waking you up? This is when you actually stop breathing during your sleep, thus causing you to wake up. I was having trouble sleeping and participated in a sleep study to determine the problem. Sure enough it was both central and obstructive sleep apnea for me. Just something for you to consider since it is not always just our MS. Hope you find some relief soon.
