Hello my friends who are still awake! How many of you are having a hard time with the holidays, especially if you have no family members support or are in an unstable living environment with no place to go?? I'm waiting on a place to go so I can get a PCP and MS specialty Neuro within the scope of mileage my insurance will cover for medical transportation. I have no other way to get to my appointments. Suggestions welcome here! Thanks πΆ

Bamfan1442 I am!π Although I'm giving it my all! Just something feels off this year.
Have you gotten your insurance straighten out?π It would seem to me that your med transport would have to take you, if you had to go. Mine does.π And it's always an all day trip.π All it takes is something from the doc saying I have to go.ππ
Travel distance is limited to 30 miles for a PCP and 50 miles for a specialist (Neuro). I've already been to the closest one by me but need a second opinion. Other ms specialty neuros are on the other side of my state, too far away to get medical transportation.
Thanks I'm in Michigan. In a shelter but my exit date is January 2nd. I will have to find another shelter to go to. Also has to be in the same county to get transportation there without paying for it.
I don't understand exactly what you need?? Explain what resources you need because I have tons of resources!!! I just found a great one if disability has been established. Feel free to ask me for help!!! I'm learning resources everyday!!! I'm in the same situation your in!!!
The MS Society should help you but with my experience they are terrible to work with. Go to your local congressman and they can help you!!! Call them asap!!
Bamfan1442 I'm so sorry for your situation. Sounds like your between a rock and a hard place.π If MSAA can't help? What about, United Way, or your churches, Salvation Army might help also? Idk , but you can ask.π
The only answer you get if you don't ask is no.π
