Since I have not had pain for the last 2 weeks there was nothing to do. Neurosurgeon said that if it happens again to call and that there is a shot I can get for the pain which I think is what my family dr gave me. He said that herniated discs tend to heal into themselves. I guess the only good thing is that if it happens again, I won't have to wait 2 months to see the Neurosurgeon again.
Think I may go take a nap as I had to get up early this morning for the appointment.

The nurse told me once I was in the room that they had a trauma come in that morning so they were unsure when the doctor was going to get back to me as they are now a 'trauma center' and they are the only in my town. I was there for a little over an hour with check in, waiting, and see the neuro for less than 5 minutes.
Anytime I have had a neurology appointment of any kind in this town over the almost 6 years, I can never get in at the time of my appointment or the doctor comes back to the room because they are running behind. And to get a first appointment with a specialist of any kind in this town takes forever!! Where I moved from in WI, you were able to get into a specialist within 2 weeks or less! Just boggles my mind sometimes though the town I live in now is smaller than where I moved from.
That’s why we moved to bigger city for better care. Meridian Idaho has been great for me. I get into every doctor 👨🏼⚕️ within a couple days, same day for emergencies 🤗 Ony once in year. Things are lot better, but miss my friends 😥. Seems to always be a trade off 🤔🙏are with you 😎
I actually get appointments rather quickly and get seen on time with the VA. At the same time my neurologist is not an MS specialist and sometimes I think he's learning about it just like me.
I really had no choice but to move here with family because after going on disability I could not afford my house payments anymore and there was nowhere for me to go with my 2 dogs.
