Taking a little r & r time. In Townsend Tenn home of Cases Cove. 11 miles of the most beautiful nature park in the great Smokey mountain national park. Took some awesome videos of deer last night but can't get them to load here. Ill try later. But I sure is nude to get away from home for a few days. I can't walk all the beautiful trails here but I can still ride around and enjoy the beauty. But this ride sure don't help my legs or back though. These beds sure aren't as comfortable as mine. But no kids in this house. Peace and quiet sure is nice. No stress sure does help these symptoms ease up a little I do admit.

My wife and I are even getting along with no ms comments or arguments. Lol. And that's a good thing.

Have a wonderful day to all.

God bless

Donnie

Doubled51 , Cade’s Cove is my favorite place to go for a day trip. We have camped there many times over the past 46 years of our marriage.

Hope you enjoy!😃🐻🐍🐌🦉🐜🐛🕷🦎🦌🐗🌲🌳🍂🍁

Morllyn we went the first time in 1996 and lost count how many times since then. We stayed in a little motel in Townsend. For a couple of nights. We went to the park last night and again this morning. Just haven't been seeing deer like we used to but its still beautiful anyway. Came over to Pigeon Forge for the night before heading home tomorrow. Nov6th we will be married 47 years. God bless.

Sometimes there are lots of deer and sometimes not, just like the bears. We always camped there, in a tent. My husband has a type of muscular dystrophy and cannot get up from the ground, or any low surface, without a lot of help now, so we gave it up.

We are only about an hour or less away from the Townson entrance to the park so it is easy to get there for us.

Oh yes Doubled51 , we’re the leaves changing yet? Were they colorful? We have had a drought down here in Knoxville and I was afraid the leaves wouldn’t be as colorful this year.

Morllyn I checked on the way home and it was 125 miles from pigeon forge to our house so pretty close. Add another 20 miles and we're at cafes cove. It just seems the last few years we just haven't seen as much wildlife but it's still as beautiful as ever. I've got a couple more pictures to post.

The leaves are turning just a little but bit much. Its been so hot there hasn't been any weather cool enough to get them going. But the leaf watchers are already causing traffic problems.

In 2 days time we saw 8 turkeys and 8 deer. But it was still worth it all.

Doubled51 it looks so nice and peaceful and did you say no children. I will catch the next plane out! My son in law fell off his ladder yesterday, at their home, as he is making his bungalow into a house. My daughter and him and 2 grandsons have been with us for way over a year now, and now it looks like it's going to be even longer. He has been to the fracture clinic and has been told he has broken his triquetrum so they have potted his arm for 4 weeks and if it doesn't heal it will have to be pinned. So it sounds like it will be a hectic Christmas again. Meanwhile you and your wife enjoy some quality time together. Blessings Jimeka 🦋 🌈

jimeka I know exactly what you are talking about. My great grand son turned 8 last week and has lived with us his entire life. My daughter for the last 12 years or so and my granddaughter for most of her life. Add to that little 1 year old Rosalie so I think we needed a little time for ourselves. Lol. Only thing is now we have to go home to see what happened while we were gone. But it was worth taking a chance. Lol. . We got some awesome videos from the park just can't figure out how to load them. God bless.

kdali I would certainly love to call it home. I actually live in the hills of North Ga and love it but it's not this beautiful.

@Doubled51 We went to the Smoky Mountains for our 20th anniversary. It was really beautiful. That's when I could still walk around. I would love to go back some day but it would be difficult. Glad you had a good time.

cljones we did a lot of riding but very little walking sue to these old ms legs. As bad as my balance is I sure wouldn't try walking any of the mountain trails. Its hard enough staying upright on flat ground. Lol. But even after the fires its still beautiful.
