Can't really garden anymore so whenever emerges is what there is. Here's a picture of a Banks Rose that we trellisted over our patio cover a number of years ago. This type of rose has little tiny roses and thorns. The oldest in the country is 100 yrs.+ I seem to recall. This one is 14 yrs.

thanks for all of you help in this posting business. I've got a profile picture up(yea) We've been in Orange county as long as you've been out of Orange county. Moved here in the 70s because could not afford Los Angeles County. I've taught in Santa Ana, not lived there. We started in South County, Laguna Hills been in Tustin, Laguna Beach and ended up here in Yorba Linda (following kids/ grandkids). Cheryl

It's changed and grown a lot in recent years. Irvine used to be 'the country.' Not anymore! Enjoy those kids and grandkids. They are the BEST! 💕

YLGram That is a beautiful rose, do you prune it or leave it to its own devices? Blessings Jimeka 🦋 🌈

Like most things in the garden, we just leave it to its own devices. Did have the gardener severely prune it this fall because of an undesired big critter (rat) that decided to go up there and steal birds eggs.

I'm hopeful it will come back again next spring. And yes they are yellow roses they smelled wonderful in the spring.

YLGram i have lived on a farm nearly all of my life but I have never got used to rats, I am truly scared of them, I think it's that long tail. Glass that you have got rid of it.
