It has been 2 months now since my 1st Ocrevus infusion. I have been under a lot of stress ...had to move Sept. 1 , I don't notice any changes at all. Things are getting back to normal , need to get a new neurologist in this area and wonder if I should go through with next infusion in January.

Hi Elle61 - yes, absolutely you should have the next infusion. I don’t know the specifics of your case, but I do know that B-Cell depletion therapies need at least 3 months before you can even start to gauge response and effect with the greatest benefits expected to start kicking in after a year. The leading experts on Ocrevus have stated that for most people the longer they’re on it the better they get. No currently available drug can beat its ability to prevent or slow progression as demonstrated in trials, and it’s considered one of the safest MS drugs as well. Two months is too soon to be expecting much change. FYI I’m 3 1/2 months out from my first infusion and have started seeing positive signs very recently. I’ve talked to others who started getting better at 6-9 months. Everyone is different and you should always consult with a neurologist that specializes in MS to discuss treatment, but I hope you’ll be able to hang in there and give it a fair chance. Keep the faith and best of luck. 😊🙏🏻🍀

Great resonse dianekjs, it's Fancy1959. You certainly offered a lot of great insight into Ocrevus. Thanks for sharing all the obvious time you spent researching and keeping up with the latest data on Ocrevus! You've become a very vital part of this chat room. We have much we can learn from each other and you certainly have taught us a lot about Ocrevus!

What a thoughtful comment, Fancy1959, thank you. I'm sort of a research junkie and have some medical background so I guess I've learned the language fairly well. I'm happy to help if/when able, and have benefited much from others' experience and knowledge here as well. :-)

You need to keep up with going thru with Ocrevus I just did my first one yes I feel a little tired but it's a new drug in your system this is only my fourth day. from the first dose and I actually I got early and took my shower in a little laundry not bad don't give up now. That also goes for everyone you can't let this MS beat you.

Hey Judymax, it's Fancy1959. I've only been on Ocrevis for about 5 weeks now. So I'm not really a good judge on having any relapses because it's still so new to me. How long have you been on it?

What I have noticed on Ocrevus is some slight Improvement already In the amount, the length, and the severity of my spacidity episodes. I simply don't have a severe issues with spasticity or have them as often. I've also started to notice, when I'm fresh, an improvement in the length and stride of my walking ability. Now when I get tired you didn't throw that improvement walking right out the door because I start dragging my feet again.

Judy since I'm not sure I spoke to you before I want to officially welcome you to this wonderful chat room. You have found a safe place to come and ask questions, just like you did, voice concerns or simply speak to someone who truly understands what you are going through. This chat room is full of some of the most compassionate and caring people I have ever met. You are now part of our extended family and I hope to hear again from you soon. Remember together we are stronger!

Thanks Fancy1959. I've been getting discouraged as my walking seems to be getting worse since going off Copaxone and on Ocrevus. I had my second of the first round on October 10 so maybe I'm hoping for a change too soon.
