Eclipse strangeness

My husband and I worked in the yard most of the day yesterday, getting the Fall vegetables planted. I took my old iPad out with us to take pictures of the eclipse. When I took this one it did not look like this through the lense but when I stepped back under the patio cover to look at the picture this is what I found.

Neat, Morllyn ! My husband actually drove to OR to catch the total eclipse. I was sitting in the dentist office and missed the whole thing. So thanks for the picture! Kind of makes me think of a bean...then of your garden. (Scary how my brain works, huh?!?) So how is your garden? It might be time to share another pic...unless you posted one recently and I missed it. 💕

A friend said it looked like the beginning of ying-yang!

We just seeded for Fall crops but, those whom we will not name 🐇, will probably eat them as soon as they come up. Maybe the raised beds-barrels will keep them out of some crops.

I will try and post a garden picture soon WAshingtongirl .

Did your husband get any good pictures?

I hope those 🐇 stay away from your garden, Morllyn . I chased one out of our front yard when I went to water this morning. And yes, post a pic! I'll have to post one of my petunia basket. It is beautiful! All the stores have their fall chrysanthemums out now, but my petunias are still looking too good to take down and replace with fall color.

Dave returns today with our granddaughter who lives near Portland. 😁 I will see his pics then. But he already warned me that his phone camera didn't do a good job with the actual color, etc. I can't believe he didn't take our 'real' camera with him. 😉

My annuals, especially petunias look very good. If I plant anything now, it must be something that looks decent when it gets cold, like cabbages. Plant some bulbs, and split some perennials.
