Such a lesson for people who tend to bring out negative thoughts! a quote I remember for years ago: My attitude is determined by the altitude of my thoughts," So true

agapepilgrim , I'm so glad you posted that. I understand that sometimes people vent and unload anger they don't know what to with. Though it can be helpful to voice understanding and empathy when they do that, it can be counterproductive to jump on board with more anger and only stir up the negative emotions even more.

I wish I were better at it, but I'm trying to learn how to be a calming voice. Vent in safe places, yes, but then let's help one another look for ways to resolve problems, if possible. I, for one, know I never need help in getting upset! Anger seems like a waste of time most of the time unless it moves us to act toward resolution.

I am grateful that I can bring my worries here and vent my frustration. You all understand, but have words of healing wisdom.

I never had an issue with anger for the first 67 years of my life. Right the opposite. I was the patient, gentle, calm, compassionate one. Now, like I have said before, a stranger is living within me totally opposite from the person I once more. I suppose right side brain damage might do that to a person, especially since MS progressed very rapidly from 2010 to 2016, and still progressing but not at a dangerous rate. I used to take the garbage and bury it in the dump outside of people's space. But, now, I would have got out of that car and screamed right back. At one time, when it first started getting out of control, my doc gave me Xanax to take on emergencyies. But neuro decided Valium would be better, and now.....well I need to keep singing that song "don't let a root of bitterness one moment on me stay; keep a tenderness within my heart I pray "

Great attitude. It's healthier to let it slide right off you, than getting worked up about it. Besides, what good is it going to do to get all upset about it. Try to focus on something else, something good, and let it go.
