Knee walker scooter

Anyone have thoughts about using a knee walker scooter for foot drop? I cannot use my AFO as my foot swells so much from the heat it becomes painful. I saw someone on a knee walker scooter at church (for a broken leg) and I thought that maybe that could be an alternative to the traditional AFO.

Never heard of them before but they do look fun. I didn't know but they rent them out here weekly and they are now NHS approved. Like you particularly in hot weather with the AFO being plastic it makes it worse. Try one and see how you get on, blessings Jimeka 🦋 🌈

Hi jimeka, Yes, the heat is a killer with MS. Thanks for the suggestion to rent it first. That's a great idea I will explore.!!

I have never used one, can you get a different AFO? I have dual chamber, it is mounted in shoe, only party the touches skin is the strap at top of calf. I love it.

I have never heard of a dual chamber one. I will explore getting a different one when I next see the Dr. Thanks for the suggestion!!
