That sounds about like the best plan I have heard in a long time!!! I have developed a thermophobia! I live where triple digits in the summer are quite normal and it's terrifying!!! 😥 Santa Barbara sounds just about right to me!!!

erash and WAshingtongirl I usually take my cooling vest everywhere I go and leave it in the car. I never know when a day will be too hot in FL.

We keep a cooler on the back seat. It's also helpful to throw in the frozen food on the way back from the grocery store.

erash, I am with you on the heat, I function very poorly in it. I live in FL as well and in defense of my new home the weather here is beautiful for at least 6 months of the year. I moved here from VT because there's something that bothers me more than the heat - the COLD. As I get older extremes of temperature in either direction bother me more & more. I cannot imagine dealing with those winters. Once winter sports are not an option winter is pretty bleak.

I grew up in upstate NY. Snowball fights, sledding and skiing (which I likely couldn't do anymore) have a limited enjoyment shelf life ❄️

But I've also lived in better climates than Fla. I'm moving to Iona60 's MSville. But Iona, can we rename the town? I'm still in denial and MSville would be a constant slap in the face reality 😟
