It's Fancy1959 letting everyone who wrote kind words of encouragement that I'm back and feeling much better. A series of 3 falls that I took in 4 days shook my world as the last fall wound up tearing my right knee's inside meniscus. When one struggles with mobility issues like I do because of poor balance issues, sustaining a serious injury from a series of falls plays hell with one's physique. I am happy to report that it is already doing much better. I pick up my new brace later today and it doesn't appear suggery is needed as it's already feeling significantly better and the swelling has gone down drastically. Thanks for all the support, phone calls, and well wishes. Each and everyone helped to heal my busted up soul as my body worked on healing itself! I love you guys and feel blessed to be part of this family! Fancy πŸ’•

Dear Fancy1959,

I'm glad you didn't need surgery and feeling better. I am sorry to hear you had a series of falls. Yes, it can cause you to hurt more because you are compensating for the injury. I was out of commission due to the humidity - basically slept for 3 days from fatigue. I didn't even know you had injured yourself. Glad you are back!

Take care,

Tonyia

Tonyia, thanks for well wishes! Please take care of yourself in the summer heat and humidity as well. They can be just as dangerous if not more than having mobility and balance issues.πŸ˜‰πŸ–’Fancy.

Sorry To hear about your fall but it's good to hear that e your on the mends. I have had my own stuff going on besides the usual MS junk but my husband moved the wrong way and threw out his back. The man is so back he took my cane and then my rollator. I told him he can use the cane but give me back my rollator. We look like a couple of old foggies LOL. We should get together and start a side show and call our selves the "The misfits"

Ok that was low sorry about that.

I do hope you are doing better than we are.

Dear Fancy, glad you are feeling better. This is the first summer that the heat and humidity is really getting to me. Sleep is good. I've been doing lots of napping. Best wishes to you.

TonyiaR7 Gosh! The Humidity is awful! Where do you live at? Chicagoland in June hasn't seen to many days under 80 with 60-70% humidity in June! I am not looking forward to July and August! Wait! It's July! I finally got sleep last night. After 2am that is. I slept to 10am. It was magnificent! Praying you can stay cool!

Fancy1959 Glad you're doing better. So far falling hasn't been an issue for me. I've only had a couple of falls, no injury, and I don't think they were MS related. But I'm always aware and try to be careful.

Melack, I'm glad you have been aware of the need for all of us to be careful! I personally need to slow down and remember that I can't do as much as I did a few years back. I also need to stop pushing my luck and going places that I shouldn't go despite using canes or other stability devices. You think I'd learn but it seems I'm extremely hard headed! Haha. Thanks for your concern and I'm glad to be back too!πŸ˜„

Jimeka, I'm not sure if I should resort two bubble wrap or a large bubble that I put myself in! Haha. I didn't try to hide I just needed time to heal and get over the fact that three falls in 4 days rattled my world. The second fall hurt my ribs and I thought I cracked a couple but I just super compressed my diaphragm. Then this third fall tore my knee up. It was all just too much, to sudden, and too painful. I cracked and broke and a bit of depression took over. It simply took me a couple weeks to start to heal my leg up and get my ribs to back to normal and my mind back in the right place. I guess sometimes we all need time to recoup when unexpected traumas enter our lives. I don't know what I would do without the great friends I have made in this family. You set at the top of the list and I thank you and don't know what I would do without your support!πŸ˜ŠπŸ€—πŸ’•πŸ–’πŸ˜Š God bless you!
