So idyllic Morllyn

I can imagine strolling along in your garden listening to the birds sing. (The cobblestone path might cause me to grab my cane though πŸ˜‰)

It would be a short stroll. Our yard is the smallest in the neighborhood but over the years we have crammed almost every inch with flowers, trees, fruits or vegetables. I never was a gardener, in the beginning, actually I couldn't keep a house plant alive. I have a sister- in- law that gave me all kinds of clippings and starts from her garden in Virginia, when we had this house built, and I began gardening. It became my sanctuary, the thing I could do to keep my mind off of troubles or physical pain.

Just Wonderful!!! Your garden reminds me of the backyard garden at my grandmothers when I was a child.

I thought the same thing erash did when I saw the cobbled walk. But it looks flat and level. Still, I'm becoming more and more wary of uneven surfaces. Does it cause you any trouble today, as MS has progressed, Morllyn ?

In reading how your garden provided you sanctuary from all things unpleasant, I felt a deep kinship with you. I believe it also provided me a way to nurture. At that time, our kids and grandkids lived far away. My garden became my mom/tutu outlet. πŸ’•

That is an earlier picture, the path is not so even now. Thankfully WAshingtongirl and erash I do not have any walking problems (yet) mine have mostly been sensory.

You've created so much charm in your small space. It seems much bigger than it is. Beautiful!
