Thank you Christopher that's beautiful. I am going to hopefully meet with my neurologist this morning, so it's helped me a lot. Biotin is on my list, I will let you know if he knows anything about it, blessings Jimeka
OK what's the deal with biotin? I'm lost again help!!!!!! π
Hi Jesmcd2
Some research models have suggested that high-dosage biotin therapy may stem the tide of progressive MS.

Jimeka and I are each presently exploring this option with our respective neurologists.
Neither of us is on biotin therapy yet, however.
We'll keep y'all posted.

Thanks, GasLight . I found another u-tube video that displayed the lyrics while Fred Hammond's voice sang in the background. Ephesians 6 came to mind when I read/listened to it. ALWAYS a great reminder. Thank you
I'm visiting family and picked up my sister-in-law's copy of Ann Voskamp's "The Broken Way" this morning. Have you read it? I have problems reading, and the first chapter or two are hard to get into (and to me, quite depressing), but my SIL says it's excellent-speaks of how Christ's light shines best through our brokenness. Christopher, that reminds me of you. π
Hi, WAshingtongirl . I have not read "The Broken Way" yet, and will definitely keep an eye out for it. I, too, find myself struggling with reading these days (my eyes cannot seem to track reliably to the next line in progression). Audiobooks may be the next logical step, and "The Broken Way" may just be the perfect trial listen π€
Thanks,

I hope your library carries it GasLight . If not, I just picked up a copy today. It's been a rough couple of weeks and after hearing my sister-in-law's insistence that I must read it, I grabbed one while we were out today. I can send it to you after I read it if you'd like. (I had planned to pass it along afterwards.) You could take as long as you wish to read through it then. And then you could keep it or pass it along. πDawn
Okay-- you got me (or rather, the reviews did).
Just procured it, in the audiobook format.
I think that you now officially have started a book club, WAshingtongirl .
That Oprah chick better just look out!!! π

Ha! You might finish it before I do, Christopher, and have to tell me how it was. I was warned the first two chapters could be slow. I have found them depressing. But I was promised it would be worth pushing through. π
It takes a real friend to turn you on to a good, depressing book, WAshingtongirl .
I'll make sure that I listen to the Smiths for an hour or two beforehand, just to get myself in the proper mood. . .

I had to google The Smith's. I assume you mean the British rock band? Don't know that I've heard them. Am I dating myself? π I will have to check them out. But on a happy day? Or when I've got dirt under my fingernails from trying to claw my way out of that pit of depression?π
You are correct, WAshingtongirl . It's an 80's alternative rock band. "How Soon Is Now," "Meat Is Murder," and "Girlfriend in a Coma" are probably their most famous songs. More than a few of their songs had an underlying theme of deep sadness and/or progressive politics. The band's name has become a byword for things generally depressive.
jimeka tells me that I we should listen to Bobby McFerrin instead. π

Ok, I finally listened to one of the Smiths' songs. Yep, the kind of music to KEEP you down in that pit, not help you out of it. π
I'm on Chapter 4. Sat captive on a 5 hour flight yesterday. So I made some headway. I'm not a huge fan of her style of writing. And with my reading issues now, that makes it harder for me. But I do like a few of the points she's brought up so far. I'll keep reading, hoping to glean more treasures from her rambling thoughts...
Thank you, Christopher, for the song. Thank for keeping us updated about the biotin, too.
Truly beautiful.
A very reassuring song, GasLight . Thank you for sharing it.
