Aren't they great?

Sorry, I've been up late watching the election returns and may be a bit punchy.

I think my husband is worried I might get them and wear them out in public. 😁

Yeah, it's a no for me too. πŸ˜‰ I think my husband would tackle me at the front door if I did. Then he'd go have my head examined. But I could just wear it around the house-that way I wouldn't have to tell ANYONE I was having a bad day!

I have a shirt that says MS is getting on my NERVES. This one looks a little "tamer" than that one. I want this one too!

Haven't seen that one! They have some really cute MS shirts out there. I told my husband I wanted one for Christmas. If I get one, I have a feeling I might be getting a 'tamer' one. πŸ˜‰

I love wearing my shirt when I see the neuro. Nurses love it. Sadly, I don't remember where I got it. That's the MS memory for ya. LOL

Keep looking Tutu, it's amazing what is out there. I couldn't wear this one as to my 3 year old grandson, stupid is a naughty word!

Bad word at my house too! Shirt says what I'd only say in my head. I 'say' a lot of things that never make it out of my head. Fat brain is full of 'stupids'! 😬

BTW, Jimeka, they had a superhero MS shirt! I think that's your shirt. Went back to find it, but couldn't.

Personally I love the picture! I've had aggressive erosive osteoarthritis for over 30 yrs and many times people said that to me. Unless you look at my mis-shapen fingers, you wouldn't know the discomfort I've had in all my joints.. Thank goodness for Celebrex which has kept me moving. Just yesterday at the bank, one of my friends there was asking about me because I hadn't been in for months, she meant well when she said I looked great, but she had no idea it took me hours to talk me into getting myself up, dressed, hair and make-up done and as I stood there was numb from about the knees down.

I'm amazed you've been able to push your body to do all you have these years despite the pain, CalfeeChick. I guess biking was less punishing, but still, gripping the handle bars had to be painful for your hands. Celebrex (combined with Soma) helped me through some pain in my early years with MS. I'm glad it works for you. So you have bilateral numbness in your legs, right? Is it just the sensation (of numbness) or the inability to move them or feel where you step as well?

erash in reply to WAshingtongirl

I was thinking the same thing about biking Calfeechick? Can put a lot of stress on your wrists too. Someone suggested the MS Bike ride and a recumbent bike. Have you thought of this? I know they r $$$

CalfeeChick profile image
CalfeeChickCommunityAmbassador in reply to erash

I have friends that will be participating in the MS bike ride in earning funds for the MS Society which I think is wonderful at this point the way my legs are I'm not even thinking of pedaling a recumbent bike. But I have thought about it that event so that may be how I get around or maybe even just a big trike

Numbness and tingling. Feels like lead weights in my feet. The longer I am up the more sensations I have including electric shocks from my feet my knees. Bicycling became my recovery after my first back surgery which was in 1999 I started writing an outdoor bike in the year 2000 and never looked back, it just gave me so much freedom from all the aches and pains it was worth having a few aches and pains to be able to get out and do that. Just always have been athletic and active.

Hah! I went to meet he staff at NMSA, one said: "you don't have MS do you? You look so good!"

So even those in the know...

Wow. You think they'd be coached on the 'watch phrases.' Oh well, we're all human. And let's face it, unless we're limping, dragging a leg (I've looked like Quasimodo some days), wielding a cane or riding in a chariot, we look pretty healthy. Maybe you looked exceptionally healthy and pretty that day, Erash.

Let us know what u find Calfeechick . I was searching yesterday. I want one that shows strength, fierceness, not anger or that engenders pity.

Amazon has a bunch of MS tee shirts. Just use MS T-shirts as your search words and quite a few come up. Let me know what all you get.

Ok, so l really, really could have used this shirt yesterday when l went grocery shopping. I'm seriously beginning to hate going. There is 1 guy that works there that l try to avoid like the plague. As soon as he sees me he has to hit on me. Everytime he asks if lm still with my boyfriend and tell him yes! Every! Single! Time! It's like seriously?

I can't tell my bf cause he would go off the handle. I do everything to avoid him, and to the point of switching stores. But it's farther away and l have to get rides since l cant drive anymore.

Any ldeas? Besides wearing that shirt? Lol :D

WAshingtongirl profile image
WAshingtongirl in reply to Jesmcd2

I haven't had anyone hit on me in years (aside from my husband and grandsons πŸ˜…). Have you asked him to please stop asking? Maybe he's just hopeful and doesn't realize he's bothering you. If it continues, I think I'd mention it to his manager.

jesmcd2, as long as it stays harmless, enjoy the flirting :-)

I once knew a co-worker who wore a large engagement ring to avoid unwanted flirtations...

30+ years ago when I was a single working lady at a large insurance company I was always getting hit on and did not enjoy it. So I had a beautiful wedding band made, and we used it as my wedding band when we got married in 1989 😊

CalfeeChick profile image
CalfeeChickCommunityAmbassador in reply to Jesmcd2

I like tutus response. Take him aside and ask him nicely to please not do that that you're very happily involved and if it persist you will be forced to talk with his manager or leave the store as a customer completely. Or you could take your special someone in with you and introduce them!!

Jesmcd2CommunityAmbassador in reply to CalfeeChick

OMG if l did that CalfeeChick my guy would probably beat the f*** outta the poor fool. Yikes And l am not bailing him out of jail for that.

I am going to have to do something tho. Cause this guy mentioned my dog yesterday, now might be cause of halloween? And he saw him? Or this guy knows where l live :/ l really really hate small towns. Already been stalked once here. Will NOT let it happen again. Grrrrr

WAshingtongirl profile image
WAshingtongirl in reply to Jesmcd2

I hope he's just a 'pup' bedazzled by you and not a stalker, Jes.

Sounds like you may need to document these exchanges and report him to police if it gets any worse.

Jesmcd2 profile image
Jesmcd2CommunityAmbassador in reply to CalfeeChick

WAshingtongirl nothing to be bedazzled by, seriously, and CalfeeChick that doesn't work in this place but l do know what does. Lol l might seem young n naive, but l was raised by a cop, and l have a brother who is one. Let's just say if it gets any worse, pay back can be quite the bi***

My number 1 rule has always been is you don't mess with me n mine. *shrugs*

OK end of subject... thank you for your support. love ya guysβ™‘

I haven't figured out how to post a pic within a response, only at the start of a post. Copy/paste doesn't work for me. Maybe someone can teach both of us!
