High Blood Pressure

I have recently been diagnosed with high blood pressure and the medication that I am taking is not working well with the Tizanidine that I take at night for spasticity. It makes my blood pressure go to low. My regular doctor wants me to try cyclobenzaprine. Has anyone out there had this problem or has taken cyclobenzaprine. I hate to switch because Tizanidine has worked so well.

Thanks

Do you take the BP med in the morning? Could you take a different BP med or a lower dose? I would hate to ruin a good thing if it's making the spasticity manageable.

Yes, I do take it in the morning. I have a call into my neurologist to see what his thoughts are.

Thank you

Cyclobenzaprine is a fair muscle relaxant but unlikely to work as well as baclofen, tizanidine, or even Valium for spasticity. Of course, everyone responds differently to meds.

That is what I have found with my research on line. My doctor just wants me to give it a try to see if it will work for me.
