Hi. My name is Michelle. I was diagnosed in 2003. My balance and walking have gotten steadily worse over the past 5-6 years. Like anyone else I have good days and bad days, or hours! I look forward to reading other posts.

Introducing myself
Hi Michelle! My name is Jim. I got my "official" DX in 2005. Like you, my walking and balance can be a challenge some, well a few..... Nah MOST days.
It was hot here in FL today and I stayed in most of the day. I went out to check the mail and it is not that far of a walk but I was very glad that I saw a tree when I did otherwise, I would have wound up on the ground. So I slowed down and got back inside in the AC.
So obviously you are not alone. If you like I have even put up a blog at jimandms.com/ where I post almost daily what I am going through and how I am feeling. It is a way for me to vent when needed. I also share any information that I think would be of interest to the MS community.
So feel free to stop by there if you like. Sign up to receive an email whenever I post something or just browse around.
Have a wonderful day!
Jim

Hi Michelle! I love how you said good or bad days, or hours! Soooo true! It's crazy how fast the way you feel changes. I have been having bad dizzy spells and I've noticed my balance is not as good as it used to be. I used to think I was just a klutz but now it all makes sense.
Hi Michelle, Pat here. W/MS since 1988, diagnosed in 1990. Have you tried Ampyra for your walking problems? It helps me a lot when I can get the insurance co. to pay for it. Ask your doctor. You take it once a day, it's a pill. It snuck up on me. I started taking it and didn't feel like it was helping at all. Then 2 of my friends commented on how I was walking better and I kept taking it. Also I have done physical therapy to help with balance. You might think about that too. Good luck!
