accidentally scratched a mole

Last night i hit my back against the corner edge of door pretty hard and ended up accidentally scratching a mole that’s on my back and it started to bleed. I cleaned it off and put a bandage on it but i’m really concerned because it seems like i hit it pretty hard and it’s kind of coming off. I’m not sure what to do and im really scared it’s gonna turn into something serious….before i would also check up on that mole frequently to make sure there’s no abnormalities and it’s had no problems…at least not until i injured myself. Does anyone have any advice on how to care for a damaged mole due to injury? should i go to the hospital? i’m really really worried.

I’ve had that happen with a metal back scratcher. I applied neosporin and a bandage. It healed quickly. Here, they would laugh at us if we went to the hospital for something like that.

If you’re concerned about a mole being dangerous you might have a dermatologist or family doctor look at it.

My family doctor looks at moles on my back every year and always says they’re benign.
