For a few months now I have been having an intense itch ALL over my body from head to toe. Comes and goes all day the only thing that helps is antihistamines. I haven't changed washing powder or antything.
Thyroid is ok.
What is it!!? It's too much to live with.

Oh dear, awful for you. Have you seen or had a phone consultation with your GP? Or been referred to a neurologist? Or if there is an accompanying rash, to a dermatologist?
it IS possible to 'become' Allergic to Things, even those that you have 'Used For Years'..... notwithstanding a Change in THEIR Formulation- watch out for 'New' 'Improved' 'Reformulated' and so on.
I would see, your own 'Team' about this, as the answer could- but may, very well not be- Complex... if you are unlucky. A friend, from long ago now, used to get psorisis VERY badly and in 'Akward Places' too. Her situation was a 'Difficult' one but she DID get, can I say 'Fairly Good Relief', after some investigation.
Beyond this there are Many creams/ emoliants/ balms/ oils etc, that you can try.... Some, of which, Might WORK for you. Perhaps a Chat with your Dermy?

I got a cream from Amazon that worked really well to stop itching it is called O’Keeffe’s Skin Repair,it’s a body lotion in a tall yellow container.I always have some in .
I am covered head to to with itching rashes, blood pouring over everything where I have to scratch, Antihistamines ineffective. On 5th lot of steroid creams,which help but as soon as stopped itcomes b ack. Same with steroid tabs - and hav e severe reaction with steroids upsettin g my sanity. Paid for private consiultant - same thing. Urgent hospital appt. - same thing and now just left with no appointment or knowing what to do and steroids driving me mad. . Covered in itching sores. I just noted this is an old post so hopefulliy you have recovered and have a tip.
