Where we are in the US, most dermatology practices are all female staffed. Some have male doctors but all of the assistants and scribes are females and this situation inhibits and interferes with my consultations even with the male dermatologist.
I’m not interested in any lectures about my refusal to have females perform exams or unnecessary females watching embarrassing skin exams. I just would like to know if there are any all male offices (similar to the many all female offices).
I’m willing to travel.

Thank you. Yes but he always has a female office assistant present to take notes and skin photos. They don’t even try to hire same gender assistants for male patients but they are always available for female patients. I don’t want anyone but the doctor present but he requires the assistant so he can see more patients in less time. So, even though regular skin cancer screenings are recommended I go less often and limit the scope to head and back.
The scribe can take her notes sitting at the table with her back turned!!I was having a full body exam with the dermatologist and her scribe observing.
When it came time for me to lower my boxer shorts for an exam of my genitals, I looked directly at the scribe and said "would you mind turning your back for a minute", which she did. She looked embarrassed that I had to ask her. She knew she should've done it automatically!
