Many years ago before I was diagnosed with underative thyriod ,I had many undiagnosed rashes dry skin ,recently I have been on the urticaria (hives)site ,many one complain of skin problems before there thyriod goes under ,I dont understand the conection, it is something to do with thyriod antibodies
That’s interesting, I was taken off Levothyroxine as it was making me quite ill.. 8 weeks later I’m told to try a different brand ... awful situation to be in as feel some well for a long time now ...
In reply to as whether you have Lupus I suggest you ask your doctor for a blood test for ANA Proteins that are a marker for Lupus. This can sometimes involve the kidneys. This is the most second associated disease with Sjogrens Syndrome. I have both SS and Lupus. Lupus is more associated with sensitivity to light such as sun and you must be careful to cover up and not stay out too long and get burnt. Your eyes will sensitive to bright light such as sun and the glare of a T.V. etc. The glare of bright light can cause headaches so be very careful about staying in the sun for too long. I have been taking a natural medication called Mannatech Complex Powder which is a dietary supplement for healthy cells which is where all sickness's are started from, unhealthy and damaged cells. I am now off all pharmaceutical medications all of which have side affects. My health has improved dramatically. It is designed to work and support damaged cells in the body and is plant based.
I don't know where you are based but I am in New Zealand and not able to source it here so have to buy it online from Australia. Google Mannatech. There are many different natural remedies available from them but start with the complex powder. It takes awhile to kick in so persevere with it. The longer you have had SS the longer it will take to start to act. It has improved my health a 100 percent.
