Hi

Mainly later on in the day into the evening I have random parts of my skin that itch arms, legs, ankles, thighs. I'll itch it'll go away and then another part will be itchy.

I dont wake up in the middle of the night itchy or in the morning. Once I manage to get to sleep I am asleep.

During the day I'll have the normal slight itch but never as bad as at night.

Just wondering if anyone has experienced this at all?

I've tried all the prescribed creams for itching, and antihistamines and nothing seems to work.

I've had bloods done including full blood count for other ailments and drs have never advised that they see any issues in my blood so dont think its my liver or my kidneys like google would suggest.

I am at a loss possibly hormonal I'm awaiting to see gynae for something else so will bring it up to them but that's months away.

The itching is driving me mad I cant work out why only early evening and night time.

Any suggestions please as to what I can do drs dont seem at all interested I've had to wait 6 weeks being in agony for another ailments before they would refer me to a specialist can see me bleeding and being scared before they'll do anything regarding this.

Dear Heather you have my sincere empathy, my eczema definitely gets itchier later in the day and through the evening. At its worst it's itchy through the night and I would wake myself up scratching. But fortunately I am now under care of a dermatologist who has me on a corticosteroid regime where I am working on 2 day treatment with a moderate cream and I also have a step up and step down cream. But interestingly she also prescribed a menthol in aqueous cream tub to use to combat the hot itchiness at night. Don't know if that would be any use. Interestingly I suspect hormonal change, particularly oestrogen change, as being at the root of eczema flares in my adult life.
