For maybe a year now I've had red cheeks made up of tiny little bumps, by self diagnsosis I think it might be rosacea. Before I see my gp, is there anything I can try first?
I only wash my face with water and don't wear any makeup or use any products on my face.

This seems to happen to fairer skinned people for some reason. My son gets it but it disappears in colder weather for some reason. Could be a result of having the heat up too high which opens the pores too much? The doctor will just give you cream or tablets. I'm not sure how effective this is.
It sounds like it yes. If it is the skin needs protecting especially with sun so you would need a blocker all year round, keep it clean but only pat dry never rub, heat spicy food hot drinks will cause a blush. The GP will only go for standard creams usually but it's worth a chat because Rosacea needs to be managed. I posted on another I use a cream from a clinic which reduces my redness, but have chat with GP you don't have to take a prescription and could always ask to see if it's worth seeing a dermatologist as they will approach and manage the condition differently.
have a look at rosacea.ie for info..sounds like if you have rosacea its type 2..be sure to ask your doc to confirm which type it is or if its a mix of type 1 and type 2.....
Best to get a diagnosis so you know for sure and get the right cure. It could be many things, and not everything for Rosacea will work on it if it is not Rosacea
