Throbbing sounds like infection, possibly under nail. See your GP. I have trouble with my hands/nails but have found Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Concentrated hand cream pretty good and a little goes a long way. Also using Skinsoft products that seem pretty helpful.

I guess you have already seen your GP? If nothing has worked, can I suggest to consult an experienced homeopathic practitioner? I know someone who benefited from homeopathy when everything else did not work - although there is no guarantee that homeopathy will cure but why not try?

Cerave therapeutic hand cream is great -- it seals your skin and lasts for hours. Also, visit the website of the National Eczema Association for more info. on hand eczema.

I get the same. Every time I travel and use public bathrooms that have been cleaned with chemicals my hands break out. Also when I attempt to dust. I had to stop work as a nurse/carer for the same reason. Use mild or no soap but use products like sorbolene to wash your hands and then start using a very good barrier cream after to seal your skin and make it better, then keep using to keep skin moist and most importantly a good barrier from any chemicals . Avoid all chemicals esp in your own home. Use natural cleaners like bi carb or cleaning vinegar. Don't use dish detergents with out gloves on. I don't know where you are from but in Australia we have moisturisers and shampoo and soapless body washes from a company called ego that I find excellent.

My hands feel like they have been dipped in a bucket of acid and the burning is terrible till I can get them water proof again and the peeling has stopped. The only way to do that is to use a barrier cream. This was what my hep Dr told me to do . Good luck with it. Hope it works for you.

Please try Himalaya's Purim(hemocare in usa) and Liv 52 tablets. Its OTC and u can order it on Amazon.I had similar condition for 7-8 months and i was really fed up specially in the night due to itching .. these two herbs are really cheap(15-20$/month) and they are just herbs like turmeric/neem etc no chemicals...also i used to apply few drops of Neem essential oil mixed with coconut oil on the effective area .. within 2-3 weeks i was much better and by 8th week it was completely gone ..

Try to eat light food preferably no red meat or go veg..

In the night take some golden milk(pinch of turmeric and warm milk with some pepper)

I even tried yoga meditation to lower the stress..

Best of luck
