Eczema on hands
Contact the National Eczema Society (0800 089 1122 ) or have a look at their website. (eczema.org) They have lots of good information and accept that eczema can first appear in later life. Hope you find it helpful x
I have got exzema and I am 39 and have had it since I was 6 months old!Its condition fluculates! My hands and face used to be bad when I was a child but it has basically dissapeared over the years and only flares up noon and again!I used to get infected exzema on my hand and fingers a lot but have not had that for 4 years now!My back was really, really flared up 2 weeks ago and was in agony for 2/3 days until the cream, emoilliants and antihistamines took effect!!!
Hi Bigdoo,I had it as a child, I then seemed OK for a while 30+years then got ill and It flared up again, the meds probably don't help.
Funnily I have had the itchy hand eczema only recently and the doc did call it something specific but I can't remember what it was called.
I am still using the hydrocortisone at the moment, I will be going back when this runs out, so haven't tried this diprobase "gel" you refer to, although I have tried the cream and ointment before over time and found it helpful.
Anxiety stress ill health and medication are great factors, but people also need to remember to moisturise there skin regularly, which does help a lot, I wish you well in getting it under control so your as comfortable as you can be.
Take care feel better soon👍
