Discoloured dry patches of skin

I'm 16, white, male and have recently got some light brown dry patches of skin, they vary in size and the majority are around the groin area. They don't cause any irritation and aren't raised or swollen. they are just little light brown patches. Does anyone have any idea what they are and how to get rid of them?

Can I suggest you take a wee trip to your GP in the first instance?
