Severe Skin Sensitivity?

Hi, I have had very sensitive skin for the past 4 years after since I stopped using aqueous cream which I use to slather on my face every night, and now any skin care products that I put on my face causes it to go very irritated and red, so much so that the only thing I can wash my face with is a flannel and water, even shampoo causes my face to go very red across the forehead and checks. I have even tried several organic products suitable for sensitive skin but they too make my skin very irritated and red. I am just wondering if anyone could give me some advice or experienced anything similar , as it would be very much appreciated. With thanks Charlie.
