So when I wash my hands in the shower, do I need to rinse my hands before cleaning my body?

I ask some people with no OCD about it for myself, because I do it eihter, they said NO NO NO detergents kill any germs so your hands are clean.

I think that if you want to rinse first, it would only add 5 seconds to your shower. This doesn't sound like a very impairing symptom, so I personally think that you could decide whether to rinse first or not.

You might want to take a look at your sensory profile -- see book by Winnie Dunn.

Hi! Just popping in here to say that I also wash my hands in the shower, multiple times, which I recognize is an OCD symptom. Gently pointing out that coming on here to ask about it is a compulsion :) But it's tough and I want to ask these questions all the time too.
