Avoiding the work garbage

I work at a clothing store and ever since I officially got ocd and eventually went back to work I've been avoiding taking out the garbage there. I don't like taking out the garbage at home either and its grosser but I have to do it. Does anyone else here avoid this?

Hi there, me too i struggle to change bin bags or take the rubbish out. My partner usually does it as it doesn't bother him. Whereas if I do it I have handwash in repetitive way until they feel clean sometimes a numerous times. I wish I could just take it out and do a quick hand wash but my brain doesn't think like that it forces me to rewash cus I'm at unease and feel dirty sometimes washing my arms as well. So my partner does it as it's exhausting for him to watch me wash repeatedly. I completely understand you even though it's only garbage in a black liner it just feels do uncomfortable and dirty to me. I have OCD for many years but now it's getting too much I've had to finally seek some help due to 2 young children I have it's impacting in thrire lives and my husband. As I'm wasting alot of time doing these rituals it's exhausting. I didnt tell anyone before I kept it to myself as you do thinking no one understand touching even bins door handles etc.. causes me distress and high anxiety. Ive had OCD for 36 yes various types but at the moment it's severe contimation I just about Carnt touch anything even in my own home. So with trial run on medication and trying CBT I hope I gain from this and gets some sort of Normality back in my life and for the sake of my family.
