Has anyone had a very bad headache before having a OCD episode.

I still have no real answer to why all the sudden I was hit with a horrible episode, all I know is that I was taking Visitril and about three weeks prior I had a migraine for around two weeks, so bad that my vision was failing then it went away and my normal vision came back. I never get migraines ever the only other time when it was like that was years ago and I was diagnosed with trigeminal neuralgia (which I think was not correct).I’ve also had Bell’s palsy and when I was a baby a so called virus attacked one of the nerves in my eye and a muscle which causes me to be almost blind in it. The year before I had a episode that I could have swore was meningitis but doctors said no, I could barley move my neck and my entire body was in so much pain also I had a fever for two weeks and got to medication...again it was just a random virus I was told.

I also had the flu and pneumonia this year in January all the way to March.....I wonder if any of this played a factor.

I did have a MRI when I was having the headaches but it was fine. I am almost convinced to see a neurologist.

You may have already tried this, but I think it's worthwhile to start keeping a headache diary that includes what you eat, what medications you take, possible stressors, illness, your menstrual cycle (if you're a menstruating woman), hours of sleep, etc. That can help you & your doctor home in on possible triggers for these headaches and figure out patterns. If you & your doctor can't figure it out together, I think it would be a good idea to ask to see a neurologist. Try to come in with as much organized information as possible and remember that the doctor might discount infections you had when you were a baby, so I would focus most on what's happened over the past year or so. Best of luck, from an RN
