OCD with harmful thoughts

Does anyone here have this? I think my daughter who is 15 does and I am looking for support and others whom she can relate to and ask questions.

I have intrusive thoughts where I am scared I could lose control and do something bad. I have never acted on these thoughts. The drs say this happens to people who would never do anything. That’s what makes the thoughts harmful. If you would be inclined to do some of this stuff it wouldn’t bother you. If you have any other questions or just need support I’m always here.

Education is a great place to start. It won't stop the thoughts, but it can lessen them some. Someone who specializes in anxiety disorders and OCD Is probably your best bet.

About 3 years. They only stopped after I started my latest medication. Which is Venlafaxine.
