any experience of nocturnal aspiration of saliva

I am new here with early MSA, I'm 47, so hello to everyone!

I have an overproduction of saliva and some mild difficulties swallowing (perhaps more when asleep). I''m having significant issues where during the night while I'm sleeping I am sometimes choking and aspiring on saliva. I am waking up with saliva in my lungs but thankfully my cough is strong to expel the saliva and morning exercise will fully clear it eventually.

I have started to sleep on my side to allow the saliva to run out of the mouth when sleeping so not to aspire on it but it doesn't always work. Thankfully haven't developed infection yet. Does anyone experience this and have any tips on managing this? I would be grateful for any advice
