My Dad is about 7 years into MSA & things are becoming a real struggle. One thing that Dad really struggles with is using his mobile phone - answering calls & dialling out - has anyone got any recommendations for user friendly mobile phones ? Thanks xx Hayley

I recently start using voice input for text messages and emails and other written materials simply press on the little microphone icon beneath the keyboard and speak. It’s great except you have to manually add the punctuation sometimes. This on my iPhone.

Thank you - we have a problem with that as Dads speech is quite badly affected & he is often difficult to understand so I’m not sure the phone would recognise what Dads saying - ideally we need a large button phone but struggling to find right one .

Hi there, I'm not sure if your dad already has an iphone, but if he does, there's a way of making the text, buttons and icons bigger. Look at the link below or type iphone assistive access into Google and follow the set up instructions.

It might still not be big enough but it's something to try.

My mum is also about 7 years since diagnosis with MSA-C so we're facing the same challenges with her sight, slurred speech and coordination. I hope the above helps.
