Hello All,
is there such a thing with MSA? I’m sure this has been regurgitated here often, but are there any tips or suggestions for regaining even a little bit of used energy? I find often that once I use it it’s gone.
thanks all!
Rob

Hello Rob
You ask if there's such anything such as energy regeneration with MSA. I think it's very common to have extreme fatigue with MSA and I'm sure many of us will have heard of different ways to combat fatigue. There is a very useful Factsheet from the MSA Trust here in the UK. You can find it here. msatrust.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/FS110-V1.5-Fatigue-in-MSA.pdf
We were always late birds and we were finding Jackie was getting quite tired in the evenings. Jax found that by going to bed to rest for an hour and a half in the afternoon was the ideal way to recharge her batteries and enable us to have an enjoyable evening together.
I hope you find at least a part solution for yourself. I'm afraid living with MSA is also about living with compromises. Take care, Ian
Hi Ian,
Thank you again for another quick response. I have retrieved the sheet, and will give things a try. I am already doing some of them, but perhaps not as diligently as I should be. It’s nice to see that Jackie can recharge some with a nap . Strangely enough, even though I am thoroughly exhausted, it is hard for me to get a true sleep in the afternoon. I’ll have to work the factors that are preventing such a nap.
Thanks again,
Rob
Hello Rob, Sadly Jackie passed away in early April however she like you, many months ago, initially found it hard to sleep - she always said she was just going down for a rest. But with time and relaxing in bed with the curtains drawn she did use to sleep. The body appreciated the 'rest' even on days she did not sleep. Ian
I am so sorry to hear that Ian, I hope it was as peaceful as it could be, and I hope you are doing ok. Thanks again for your knowledge .
Rob
