Afternoon everyone

i realise i may be asking a self explanatory question but, given my ever decreasing mobility I’m finding that my weight gain is now a problem. So, just wondering if anyone else has this problem and what steps they have taken?

May thanks

Alec

I've got this issue. I've not done anything yet apart from trying to keep mobile. Perhaps smaller meals more often will help

Hi

My sue ended up discussing this with an NHS dietitian and yes her calorie intake should be about 1000 a day.

This is very hard to keep to and smaller meals are the best route it takes a lot of will power.

I've been lucky with Sue as she has lost all sense of taste so food has no real pleasure value.

My wife did gain weight early on in the illness due to less physical activity. But as low blood pressure became more of an issue and smaller meals were advised, and as swallow issues have become more of a problem weight gain is no longer an issue. The opposite is now the case, in trying to maintain current weight is the challenge.

Me too! I’m growing a gut. I’ve developed a real sweet tooth as I’m off the booze. I’m going to have to watch what and when I eat. Like thedjsupreme I’m trying to keep as active as possible which isn’t always successful. I wish I had a solution for you but it is comforting to hear that other people are going
