A bit of a wide ball question - has anyone got experience of a PEG that leaks and how it may be rectified? The PEG tube itself is no problem it's just as if the PEG tube is too small for the hole in the stomach and hence it leaks.
The medical profession's best advice seems to be to constantly have swabs around the tube to 'mop up' any leakage but this is a nuisance and not ideal for Jackie. I'm sure some inventive person out there has come up with a better solution....any ideas?
Take care, Ian

Sorry Ian, not a problem we faced, although the tube itself was getting very worn and we had started considering with the dieticians if it would need replacing!
I am not sure if the link for the video I am posting will assist you in your quest, because I am not at that stage yet and therefore still unfamiliar with what you are dealing with, BUT this family seems to find inventive situations for a lot of issues, so it may help or inspire you.
Hello and thanks for the link. They do mention leaking but wow they make a meal and a half about the whole process. If anyone is thinking of getting a peg don’t think it’s as complicated as these guys make out.
They do suggest a product which we don’t seem to have here in UK but that’s really just another form of dressing
Overall we are very, very grateful that Jax fitted a peg, we’re just trying to get this leaking issue sorted.
Sue's Peg has been leaking for a while and found it's a thrush infection. Have you had the leak swabbed to make sure it's stomach contents and not an infection?
A suggestion could be some good old vaseline?
Chat with the Nutricia nurses as they have many ideas also.
