Has anyone had any experience with the inflatable Magna lift to assist when fallen? Any comments please, as I am thinking of purchasing one.

Thanks

Hi mandg, We have a manga Eagle.

It's smaller than the manga camel so far more practical to use in the house.

It has been brilliant and saved my back from total destruction.

The downside is that he doesn't always fall in the most accessible places so I have had to manhandle him out of a tight spot before I can get him on to the "mattress" and then use the pump to raise him into a sitting position.

Ours was provided by the OT department.

You shouldn't have to buy one yourself! They are eye-wateringly expensive.

Thanks Honghua, I will look into that one, I was looking at the Elk. The OT said she would look to see if they had one, but was not hopefull. I have been putting off getting one, but like you say he doesn`t fall in the most convenient of places, and manhandling comes into it anyway.

Hi. A few months ago we had a home demo from a Manga rep. on how to use the Manga Camel. It requires quite a bit of space but is very impressive. We decided that it was an unreasonable expense and that 'prevention was better than cure'. Thankfully, Sonia hasn't had a fall for quite some time!!! (She is not getting any lighter and I (at 79) am not getting any stronger.)

Living in a McCarthy and Stone complex we wondered if there was access to a communal Camel, but there isn't one here, although apparently some other sites do have one.

Hi, The mangar elk doesnt have any back support, so unless your husband has good trunk control I wouldn't recommend it.

It really is a two person aide.

There is no way we could use it.

Hope that is of help

Thanks again. I keep doing the research . It's good to have peoples opinions before I spend that sort of money.......these husbands are very expensive to keep 😅
