Good evening all, can I ask please, with MSA can your symptoms plateau and you feel a bit stronger after having a pretty torrid few months? And has anyone experienced a feeling of dread during these bad times ? Caroline x

Hello Caroline. I think one of the things that identifies MSA for us is the constant roller coaster that one seems to be on. No doubt about it you can plateau and you then feel stronger and that things aren't going quite so badly.

When you do dip down on that roller coaster, always look out for a UTI or other infection. With MSA it does seem to knowk you for six a little.

Good luck, Take care, Ian

Caroline.Yes symptoms do seem to plateau and stay constant and sometimes improve slightly, which when it happens is great, and enjoy.

But never be complacent and think it's going away keep protecting yourself from falls, other illnesses and infections because when they happen we find MSA does degrade a bit more.

Take care

And a yes from me! I agree with the replies so far on the rollercoaster, but also with your second point on the feelings of dread. I believe it’s actually a quite common symptom of MSA - yet another trick your brain plays on you.

It seems to come in waves and I also feel it particularly badly first thing in the morning. probably not the best way of dealing with it, but I tend to try to get on with practical stuff and it eventually lifts. G x
