Doctors : Just tried to get doctors... - Multiple System A...
Doctors
It certainly isn't right. Our Gp had us on his priority list. They can provide either an emergency appointment or a telephone one if they need to. You need to have a serious word with him/her
It used to be like that here but management have new system
I really don't think that is on Derek - I would kick up a real fuss. Presumably you would accept an appointment with any of your doctors and they should give this within a day or two at the most. We are very lucky, if we phone in the morning our doctors guarantee you will see somebody that day. To see a specific doctor may take a week or two.Definitely make a real fuss. Take care, Ian
New system Ian not worth making a fuss moving to Midlands
Derek, I agree with Ian. If you don't make a fuss who will? You could always ring the CCG and tell them what has happened as they are ultimately responsible for local health care. That would have to wait until tomorrow though.
Another possibility is to ring 111 and tell them you need to see a doctor but can't until 17th July. If you are ill or worried about something they won't take a chance but will send you to the nearest Urgent Treatment Centre or your equivalent. Make sure you tell them what is wrong with you!
Do it now Derek! Don't let anyone treat you badly.

Thanks Marie x
Derek, where ever you are
, your surgery should put you on their priority or 'gold' list. With this you should be able to see or speak to someone the same day. The problem is continuity, it will be a duty doctor, who may not have seen you before and have not clue as to what is going on. I am constantly amazed, that many years in we still always get a different doctor.
Amanda
