I have. msa and after sailing along thinking that I' m pretty immune to the illness I took a dose of flu. I've never suffered like it. I had shivers, headaches, coughs lack of sleep etc. and wonder if having MSA makes one more susceptible to these symptoms. ? I would welcome comments.

This years flu does seem to be a pig. I know at least three people (not MSA) who have been totally floored including my grandson's girlfriend who came over from Canada and she has spent the whole of Christmas in bed and it only just thinking about getting up. The three wise men now have taken to bringing gifts of horrible viruses from lands afar I think

Did it wreck your Christmas or did it havethe decency to wait a few days?

Hi Rankin63

I also have MSA. Please seek medical advice as soon as possible to get antibiotics. Speak to the MSA nurse. Your GP should also be aware of your condition. Colds and Flu can turn into pneumonia

Hello Mina. I think the real trouble with MSA is that anything you catch can knock you for six. I have been troubled by a severe cold for about 5 weeks now and am just so thankful that Jax hasn’t caught it.

I am sure you will find time is the main cure but it is definitely worth checking with your doctor or specialist nurse if what you have could be tackled by antibiotics.

I hope you feel much better soon.

Take care, Ian
