Thyroid update

I posted on here recently about my enlarged thyroid which has unfortunately been confirmed as papillary thyroid cancer. I have surgery to remove total thyroid in early March. I will be on thyroid replacement medication thereafter. This has been a shock to say the least, my second cancer diagnosis in less than two years and another uncommon one. I’ve asked if genetic testing might be appropriate as I’m already wondering what’s next?

Sorry to hear about the thyroid cancer diagnosis. Given the presence of a second cancer, more complete genetic testing is a reasonable course of action.

Wishing you success moving forward.
